MTV Staying Alive Foundation
MTV Staying Alive Foundation has over 20 years experience in creating game changing content for young people that helps them make positive decisions about their health. We normalise important, difficult health topics and conversations that promote, encourage and facilitate open discussion and change for young people.
With a focus on sexual and reproductive health, as well as covering essential topics such as mental health, gender-based violence and LGBT+ issues, our content enables young people to make safer choices. With successful campaigns executed across Africa and recently in India, together, we can create a world where every young person is equipped with the information they need to make informed choices about their well-being.

MTV Nishedh
In 2020, MTV SAF launched a successful 360-degree mass media campaign in India – MTV Nishedh. With a TV series at the heart of it, supported by Bhumi Pednekar, Neeti Mohan and Sania Mirza, the campaign consisted of a radio series, surrounding digital content and an extended web series completely shot at home during the pandemic. The campaign garnered more than 10 million unique viewers, 70 million social media impressions and showed positive shift towards contraceptive/ condom use and increased awareness of safe abortion practices. The campaign helps the youth make healthy choices to have safe intimate relationships, deal with peer pressure, discover the importance of contraception, and eradicate the pressing stigmas around abortion and tuberculosis.
