I missed my period and I’m worried I could be pregnant, what should I do?

OK, first things first, missing a period doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant.

A lot of things can make you miss your period. Extreme weight loss, hormonal irregularities, high-level of stress, intense exercise, even pneumonia, and change in lifestyle can lead to missing a period.

All that said, if you have had unprotected sex recently, there could be a possibility of your being pregnant. Don’t panic! Wait for at least 7 days from missing a period to do a pregnancy test. Buy a home pregnancy test kit. They’re readily available and the instructions are simple to follow. Follow them and if your pregnancy test is positive, then consult a doctor. Talk to your partner, or someone you trust and always remember, a condom a day keeps STDs/STIs and unwanted pregnancy away.

A guy I found on a dating app took his condom off during sex. He came outside but could I get pregnant?
