I just got my period, what are the best pads to use?

Congratulations sis! Your body is changing and you should take good care of it. Menstrual hygiene is something you should pay close attention to.

As for the right sanitary pad, you need to consider things like material used, odour control feature, the length and flow of your period, absorbency, and your lifestyle.

You should look for chemical-free pads as they don’t trigger irritation. You can start with a regular pad and then move to a larger size depending on the flow. Whisper Ultra Clean, Stayfree Dry-Max All Night, Stayfree Dry-Max Ultra Thin, Sofy Side Walls, and Carmesi Sanitary pads are all good options. Just look for the ones that best fit your needs and go for it!

There are a couple of other things you can do to keep your nethers happy. Replace your pads at regular intervals to avoid bad odour and prevent infections. Wash the vulva thoroughly with water but make sure NOT to use any soap, deodorant, and cosmetic product near or inside the vagina. It will only increase the risk of catching infections.

Finally, entry into womanhood is a beautiful phase. Make the best of it. Happy Period 🙂

A guy I found on a dating app took his condom off during sex. He came outside but could I get pregnant?
